I've been playing more with my idea to create a D&D setting based on the Victorian era. I think the cutoff year will be 1850, before electricity, cars, modern guns, and modern medicine take over. A couple others have tried this idea, but I don't like where they took things.

I probably won't release this project to the public, it's more for my own homebrew fun. Researching and watching Period Piece movies is half the fun of working on this project. I've been looking at old maps of Europe and New York City, looking at old drawings, and thoroughly getting distracted from actually writing anything down.

Who knows where this will go. Maybe nowhere, or maybe a one-shot adventure set in New York, or a frontier fort. And how will elves, dwarves, magic, dragons, etc. play a role in this alt-history world?
